The new Camille Obadia skincare range was created in 2014 by internationally acclaimed esthetician to the stars Camille Obadia. But the story of how the products were created starts 40 years before in Paris.
After studying medical cosmetic care and post-surgery aesthetic for more than 10 years, Camille started her career at a series of top Paris clinics, including the prestigious Elysee Montaigne. Here she loved her work and treated famous French television actresses, movie stars and royalty. In 1994 Camille made the exciting move to set up her own eponymously named clinic in the chic 8th arrondissment of Paris and it soon became the hottest in the capital. Camille specialized in body and face treatments that she formulated by working with dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and doctors. Her own brand of facials and body treatments use groundbreaking techniques in radio frequency and electrotherapy and made Parisians look younger and slimmer, giving them firmer skin without going under the knife.
Camille integrated her academic training with her artistic nature and this was reflected in her clients. They included top fashion journalists, designers, artists, writers and models and media legends like Editor-in-chief of French Vogue Carin Roitfeld and Emmanuelle Lannes of Cosmopolitan magazine.
The innovative in-office procedures, personal service and talents gained Camille recognition across France, where she is a frequent consultant, and is widely quoted in national newspapers, magazines and on television.
Camille has been called on to provide her expertise and has published numerous articles as a skin care expert for French Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Sante magazine and industry bible Coiffure and Beauty. She has also taught students at Paris’ College European De Formation Continue Paramedical Esthetic.
For years Camille had many American clients who would visit her Paris clinic and so in 2010 decided to open Beaute Oblige, her first clinic in New York. The clinic is situated opposite Barneys and soon became the secret of chic New Yorkers, fashion editors, designers and celebrities. Clients have included Modern Family actress Sophia Vergara, Real Housewife of New York LuAnn de Lesseps and many fashion designers, stylists and influencers.
After years of work Camille grew dissatisfied with the products available on the market and developed her first skin care line, collaborating with doctors, engineers and chemists including Xavier Gabarre at the France’s esteemed University of Chemistry and Engineering. The skincare line is a natural evolution of Camille’s life’s work and is a line of products that can deliver the anti-aging benefits to those who can't experience her in-office procedures.
Obadia says “The skin care line battles pollution, increasing oxygenation, and maintaining good quality collagen, to keep skin healthy and fight the anti aging process.”
“I developed my own skin care products because I want to give the best to our customers with all my love.”
